COVID vaccine website overloaded

The area’s COVID vaccine waitlist website has been overwhelmed with users, according to spokesperson Allison Getz. 
 

“They were handling over 600 calls a minute,” Getz reports. The system is currently off line. “IT is currently trying to work with the vendor to create a waiting room to meter the registrants better.”  

Getz anticipates the website, vaccine.beaumonttexas.gov, being up by Friday, Feb. 5 at 8 a.m. are hoping to have it fixed by 8 AM tomorrow.
