According to an announcement from the Diocese of Beaumont, Dr. Felicia Nichols is stepping down as superintendent of Catholic Schools to “take care of her aging parents.” Nichols’ last day is announced as Dec. 29. Nichols was hired for the position in May 2021.

“On behalf of Bishop Toups, we are extremely grateful for her leadership of the Catholic Schools these past two and a half years,” the Diocese statement continued. “Since she began her tenure here, she immediately led the Diocese in adopting uniform curriculum standards for our four Catholic elementary schools. It also helped create better vertical alignment for our students matriculating into Msgr. Kelly Catholic High School.”
