Just before 2:30 p.m. Sept. 18, Beaumont police were called to the intersection of MLK Parkway and Laurel Street in reference to a man in the street.

The man was seen swinging erratically at passing cars on the major thoroughfare, according to a passerby. BPD officers arrived shortly thereafter, and the man exited the roadway on his own.
