In lieu of the annual Cops & Kids Program, the Beaumont Police Department has planned a drive-thru truck-or-treat event downtown for Saturday, Oct. 31 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Due to COVID restrictions, BPD's annual Cops & Kids Halloween event will be a little different this year. The drive-thru route will be East on College Street (coming from MLK will be the best way to get in line) with booths starting in front of the Beaumont Police Station (255 College). Drive-thru trunk-or-treaters will then turn north onto Main Street and pass City Hall and the Civic Center, where booths will be lined up on the vehicle's passenger side.

Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and hold their treat bags and buckets out the window to receive goodies! Those planning to come to BPD's drive-thru event, please remember to drive slowly. All participants should remain inside the vehicle for the duration of the route.

During this unprecedented time, BPD hopes residents will join for a fun, safe evening. For more information, visit the Beaumont Police Facebook page.
