From BISD Superintendent Shannon Allen:

"The District is working extremely hard on the 2020-21 re-entry plan," the Allen wrote in a news release. "Please know that, as we develop plans, we are committed to maintaining the general health and safety of our students and staff in preparation for the upcoming school year.

"Thank you to those who have taken the time to provide us with feedback through your participation in our recent surveys. While we do not know completely what the 2020-21 school year will look like, draft plans will be discussed in a public meeting on July 16, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. in the BISD boardroom. While space will be limited due to social distancing guidelines, the meeting will be livestreamed on the district website. In the event that we cannot host a public meeting due to health concerns, we will host a virtual meeting via Zoom. The re-entry plan that we will share is not final but is based upon the most current guidance that we have from state and local agencies.

"Thank you for your remarkable patience since the start of this journey this past spring. Our community has made us proud by working together during these uncertain times. I look forward to your continued feedback at our public meeting and seeing you again soon."
