Tropical Storm Beta is predicted to impact the Beaumont area with heavy rains and potential flooding. Out of an abundance of caution for all students and staff, BISD will close all campuses and district buildings on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 21-22, according to a news release. BISD is postponing its face-to-face phase-in of students scheduled to begin this week as well. All district events, including meal distributions, will also be suspended for Monday and Tuesday.
From the release:
"All BISD students and staff will switch to the district’s virtual learning model and conduct classes from their homes on Monday and Tuesday. BISD will continue to assess the weather and communicate a decision regarding the remainder of the week to students and staff by Tuesday afternoon.
