It’s the final weekend to see Terrence McNally’s American classic, “Frankie & Johnny in the Clair de Lune” inside the Betty Greenberg Center for Performing Arts on Nov. 3-5, at 7:30 p.m.

Directed by John Manfredi, “Frankie & Johnny” is at the same time romantic and visceral, vibrant and approachable, funny and heartbreaking. When a waitress, Frankie played by Heather Rushing, and a short-order cook, Johnny, who is played by Jordy Reho, meet for a single night of passion, desire turns into the possibility of something more. A Tony, Obie, and Drama Desk Award nominee, “Frankie & Johnny” explores if we are ever really prepared to meet the one person we cannot live without.

“Frankie & Johnny” opened Off-Broadway in 1987 at Stage II of the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City and starred Kathy Bates and F. Murray Abraham. It went on to play Broadway in 2002 at the Belasco Theatre and starred Edie Falco and Stanley Tucci as well as Rosie Perez, Joe Pantoliano, Audri McDonald and Michael Shannon.

Tickets start at $27 and can be purchased online at beaumontstages.com. “Frankie & Johnny” is Rated R for strong language and adult situations. The Betty Greenberg Center for Performing Arts is located at 4155 Laurel Ave. in Beaumont.
