Brothers Cade and Kyle Griffis founded D-Bat in 1998. The two began traveling to different cities across the state of Texas giving private hitting lessons. Their simple goal was to provide an indoor facility that matched the level of quality players, so they turned their dream into a reality with their first location in Addison, Texas.

In a short period of time, the facility became the top indoor baseball and softball training center in the country. Some 10 years later, the D-BAT team decided to take their idea to the next level by giving others the opportunity to own their own D-BAT Academy.

Starting with just three locations in their first year, this lucrative business model has quickly grown to now over 135 locations with 20 additional locations being built currently.

One of their newest facilities is 5015 Interstate 10 South, near the Ford Park Fields in Beaumont.

The indoor, climate-controlled, statof-the-art facility allows workouts regardless of the weather. Batting cages feature real baseball and softballs (both fastpitch and slowpitch) being pitched in real time with professional instructors.

At the D-Bat facility, they host more than 50 camps, clinics and classes each year providing a great opportunity for players to improve while having fun at the same time. Their Spring/Holiday Break and Summer Camps are very popular with parents who are looking for something constructive to keep their ballplayers busy when school is out.

Specialty clinics are typically focused on one aspect of the game and give athletes a chance to fine-tune established skills or work on problem areas.

Cage rentals are also a great way to work your kid out individually or bring in a team in for batting practice.

If that wasn’t enough, there is a fully stocked pro shop with baseball and softball gear including D-BAT bats, gloves and as well as a full range of products from Rawlings, Easton and Lizard Skins.
