A search warrant led to the arrest of a 44-year-old gang member on drug charges on Jan. 19, reported the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).

According to a press release, Christopher Paul Kirbow, a Solid Wood Soldier (SWS) gang member, was charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance – a second-degree felony – for methamphetamine, and a third-degree felony for ecstasy.

The Orange County Narcotics Division, with the assistance of Orange County SWAT, Orange County Criminal Investigations Division, Vidor Police Department, Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force (SETXATTF) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), executed a narcotics search warrant in the 400 block of Byrd Street in Vidor.

OCSO reported the search warrant was obtained after a continued investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the Vidor area. The residence was also suspected of being utilized as an illegal fencing and storage operation for stolen vehicles and trailers. Once on scene, a trailer was determined to be stolen and the SETXATTF obtained an additional search warrant.

Found inside the residence were amounts of methamphetamine, ecstasy, hydrocodone, and distribution paraphernalia.

Outside the residence were several vehicles with altered VIN plates; a stolen trailer, a chainsaw, and other items were located and confirmed stolen from Southeast Texas.

The owners have been notified of the recovery and arrangements have been made for them to retrieve their property.

According to OCSO, the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be filed regarding the stolen property.
