Mardi Gras on the Sabine

The Orange Chamber of Commerce and CVB will join forces to host their 20th annual Mardi Gras on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Riverside Pavilion (708 Simmons Dr.) near the city’s boat ramp. The festival opens at 10 a.m. that includes DJ music, food trucks, kids’ activities, munchkin parade at 1 p.m.

Festival season begins with Capes & Crowns

The Neches River Festival was first envisioned in the spring of 1947 and two years later, the first festival debuted in Beaumont in May of 1949. The first Royal Court was composed of 11 Duchesses, six Princesses and following the coronation, a street dance was held surrounding City Hall.
