Ad Hoc Beaumont, in conjunction with Beaumont Community Players, added four shows of Jen Silverman’s “Witch” on Thursday, Aug. 24 through Saturday, Aug. 26. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. each night with a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee.

In the sleepy village of Edmonton, trouble stirs when a charismatic, slick devil arrives seeking fresh deals from the unsuspecting townsfolk. Through a contemporary lens, Silverman makes the centuries-old tale strikingly relevant to today's audiences, presenting a wickedly funny and slyly subversive play that challenges our perceptions of power, society and the human condition.

“Witch” is directed by Dee Dee Howell and includes the cast of Heather Rusling, Jody Reho, Zach Dailey, Katherine Leister, Michael Saar and Cole Wimpee.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at beaumontstages.com. The play contains adult subject matter and violence, and is not recommended to those under the age of 15

The Betty Greenberg Center for Performing Arts is located at 4155 Laurel Ave. Detais can be obtained by calling (409) 833-4664.
