MMA (mixed martial arts) returns to Ford Arena on Saturday, Aug. 26, as Peak Fighting hosts their second event in Beaumont with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com or the Ford Park box office (5115 Interstate 10 South).

A total of 21 fights are slated with prelims beginning at 5:30 p.m. The main card features one professional fighter from Beaumont – Trent Ebarb – who won his pro debut earlier this year in February at Peak Fighting 26, also held at Ford Park, when he defeated Juan Chavana in Round 2 with a rear-naked choke submission.

Ebarb, who trains at TPC Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, will look to improve his record to 2-0 when he steps inside the cage to fight Israel Rodriguez (1-3), of Amarillo, in the welterweight (155-pound) division.

Vidor native Devin Christopherson (2-3), of 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, is matched up to fight Houston middleweight Cameron Presher, who will make his pro debut.

Two Beaumont amateur fighters from 10th Planet are also scheduled to fight in Dominick Green and Colton McElhinney. Green (3-1) faces Luis De La Fuente (3-1) and McElhinney (1-0) will also be in action.
