The Junior League of Beaumont’s Main Street Market is a three-day, onestop holiday shopping extravaganza where attendees will find a myriad of unique merchandise. Located inside the Beaumont Civic Center, shop for incomparable clothing, gourmet treats, engaging items for children, one-of-a-kind jewelry and so much more.

“The Junior League of Beaumont is committed to giving back to the community,” said Christina Lokey, chair of the 20th annual Main Street Market. “It has been fascinating to witness how an antique home and garden show transformed Main Street Market into what it is today – a true embodiment of community generosity.”

Once known as “The Junior Welfare League of Beaumont,” the group was organized in 1937 with a membership of 38 and then became a member in 1946 of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. The league is comprised of a diverse group of women with the common desire to make Beaumont a better place to live. The league has not only provided volunteer and financial assistance to numerous organizations in need but has been the driving force in establishing community assistance, historical and cultural as well as educational organizations that are still in operation today.

Main Street Market is the Junior League of Beaumont’s annual fundraiser. All proceeds support the League’s continual work throughout the community through projects, grants, community assistance funds and scholarships. This year’s market is one that you won’t want to miss with bigger booths and more giveaways.

The market begins Thursday, Nov. 30 and ends Saturday, Dec. 2.

Hours are 4-9 p.m. on Thursday, also known as “Ladies Night,” with a general admission ticket of $10. There will be a diamond giveaway, plus door prizes including a special collective ornament, which then in return can be used for a $25 discount at participating booths.

Those who want to start early, a $25 VIP ticket allows entry into the market at 3 p.m.

Market hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. Entry is also $10, but those who attend between 5-9 p.m. will receive free entry. All who attend Friday night will also receive free entry and beverages into the beer garden, compliments of Del Papa and Giglio.

The market concludes Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Breakfast with Santa, sponsored Neches Federal Credit Union, is from 9-11 a.m. at the Beaumont Children’s Museum. Meet Santa, get a photo taken by Jordan Gaspard, savor a Chick-fil-A meal, and even say hello to Santa Cow! Then, enjoy all-day access to the museum as well as the market.

This year’s Designer Purse Raffle features three fabulous prizes – Gucci’s Aphrodite, Yves Saint Laurent’s Calypso and Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull – with a combine value of more than $7,000. Tickets to the purse raffle can be purchased online at go.rallyup.com for $25 (10 chances to win). Winners (need not be present) will be announced at 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 2.

“Last year alone, the Junior League of Beaumont’s Community Projects gave out $68,000 worth of cap grants,” added Lokey. “So this is very important to us.

“It’s also great for Beaumont in other ways. Many of our vendors as well as customers, who attend Main Street Market, stay in our hotels and eat in our restaurants.”
