George Lopez

Comedian, actor and best-selling author George Lopez returns to Beaumont to perform at the Julie Rogers Theatre on Friday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $39.50 and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com.

Lopez currently stars in a multi-camera comedy series, “Lopez vs Lopez” for NBC, featuring his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez, and is performing stand-up in arenas across the country on his “OMG Hi! Comedy Tour.” He also joins the DC Extended Universe in the upcoming superhero film “Blue Beetle,” releasing in-theaters Aug. 18. His extensive film credits include “Walking with Herb,” the modern-day Western “No Man’s Land,” “The Tax Collector,” “El Chicano,” the romantic comedy box-office hit Valentine’s Day, “The Spy Next Door,” “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl,” and “Spare Parts,” which he also produced.

An icon and advocate for Latino representation, Lopez was also the focus of the award-winning documentary “Brown is the New Green: George Lopez and the American Dream.” He has also lent his voice to numerous agminated blockbuster films “Gnome Alone,” “Escape from Planet Earth,” “Rio,” “Smurfs,” “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” and “Cats & Dogs.”
