Oktoberfest started in 1810 as a celebration of the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig (later King Ludwig I) and Princess Therese of Bavaria. The people of Munich, Germany were invited to celebrate with horse races, food, and beer. Over time, the event became an annual festival centered on Bavarian culture, music, food, and, most famously, beer. Today, it’s a global tradition, with many cities around the world hosting their own Oktoberfest events including Beaumont’s popular October attraction that will celebrate a decade.
This year’s edition is set for Saturday, Oct. 4, from 3-8 p.m. at Rogers Park (6540 Gladys Ave.).
“Oktoberfest Beaumont is celebrating 10 years of community fun,” said City of Beaumont’s Director of Event Services, Emily Wheeler. “We are so grateful to those who have supported this incredible event over the years and look forward to seeing everyone Saturday. People love to stroll over with their families, enjoy the live music and the scenery of the park. It is a great event to welcome the fall season.”
Beaumont Oktoberfest is a family favorite, offering authentic polka and live music, food trucks and a large beer garden. There will be a beer garden offering a selection of craft and German Oktoberfest style beers.

Headlining this year’s event is the electrifying Americana rock band, Madam Radar, bringing a whirlwind of soaring guitar solos, lush four-part harmonies, and a kaleidoscope of original songs that capture the heart and punch with grit. Fresh off the release of their acclaimed album “Motel,” the band continues to captivate audiences nationwide, and now they’re bringing their signature high-octane sound to Beaumont for an unforgettable night of music, community, and celebration.
Oktoberfest will also feature live polka performances by the Golden Triangle Brass Quintet as well as music from local favorite, Running on Credit. Enjoy a selection of craft and German Oktoberfest-style beers at the large beer garden.
