Drunk driver arrested after hitting police cruiser

The Beaumont Police Department (BPD) reported that an officer was injured after a drunk driver hit his patrol unit on Oct. 29. According to BPD, the officer was traveling west in the 2600 block of the Interstate 10 eastbound service road at approximately 1:03 a.m.

JCSO seeking information on stolen truck

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is seeking information concerning a stolen vehicle. Oct. 18, according to JCSO, two suspects in an orange Kia four-door sedan stole a truck from a contractor parking lot on Savannah Avenue in Port Arthur.

Girlfriend admits to murder

Tracy Marie Samuel, 40, was indicted for murder on Oct. 18, accused of taking the life of her domestic partner Delbert Charles Lewis the morning of Sept. 27.

Oct. 17, Devin Tramon McGhee pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation connected to an offense from October 2021 wherein he and his twin brother were accused of entering a home in Port Neches, armed with an assault rifle, and assaulted the occupants and their small dog.

Suspected child rapist on the run

The Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) is searching for a suspect wanted for an alleged child sex crime. According to PAPD, Angelo Delvie Gonzales aka Angelo Gadriel Delvie Gonzales, 21, is wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Oct. 2, Paul Edward Nelson, 57, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to promote child pornography and online solicitation of a minor, both given $100,000 bonds, in Montgomery County.

Known sex offender indicted for new crimes

Local registered sex offender Jimmy King Jr., 44, was indicted on multiple felony sex crimes, as well as failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, by a Jefferson County Grand Jury on Sept. 27.
