Hardin Co. couple arrested on drug charges

Sept. 26, two Hardin County residents were arrested on drug charges, reported the Port Neches Police Department. Officers conducting a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Port Neches Ave. deployed a K-9 that alerted on the vehicle and a probable cause search was subsequently conducted.

Search warrant executed, twins arrested

Aug. 27, twin brothers were arrested for drug and firearm offenses in Beaumont.According to the Beaumont Police Department (BPD), at 11:30 a.m. members of the Narcotics Unit, Special Assignment Unit, SWAT and K-9 executed the warrant at a residence in the 2200 block of Ives Street.

July 31, Kishore Penneru, 30, was arrested and booked for gambling promotion as the result of an undercover illegal gambling operation, according to the Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD). At 5:40 p.m.

July 24, a Jefferson County grand jury returned indictments against Patricia Ann Eglin, 42, of Beaumont, who was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and three counts of indecency with a child/sexual contact.

Alleged dealer indicted after SWAT raid

Beaumont resident Sammy Lee Ware Jr., 49, was indicted July 17 by a Jefferson County grand jury following his felony arrest for drug possession. Ware faces charges for a “special degree” felony of manufacturing/ delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2 or 2-A, greater than 400 grams.

Beaumont psychologist Dr. John Walter Bordages Jr. was arrested on July 16, after sending his 1,000-page memoir in his place and failing to appear before Criminal District Court Judge John Stevens.

Buna teen arrested for murder

18-year-old Buna resident Cody Dwayne Vann was arrested and charged with the first-degree murder of Arthur Logan Orosco, who was found shot and deceased along the highway in Buna at approximately 2:30 a.m. July 10.
