After failing to comply with his sex offender registration requirements, a 41-year-old man was arrested by Beaumont police May 3.

BPD Special Crimes detectives asked for the public’s help searching for Gerard Q. Jackson, who was arrested Tuesday. Jackson is a previous resident of Washington, where he was convicted in 2003 for first-degree rape with a deadly weapon.

“He is required to register annually as a sex offender and is currently refusing to provide a DNA sample, as per his registration requirement,” officers reported. “On April 26, an arrest warrant was obtained for Jackson for failure to comply with a sex offender registration requirement.”
