The Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) plans to hold a public prayer vigil at Eastgate Pentecostal Church in Vidor on Monday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in honor of three local law enforcement officers currently battling medical conditions.

OCSO Detective Joshua Lockett said OCSO Corporal Dru Crochet, OCSO Deputy Scott Barnes and Detective Howard DeVault with the Orange Police Department "need all the payers and support they can get," and invited the community and fellow law enforcement officers to join OCSO at the vigil.

“We believe your thoughts and prayers make the difference,” Lockett stated. “Pastor Tuttle and the Eastgate Pentecostal Church have opened their hearts and doors to host the event... Pastor Tuttle is a stronger supporter of law enforcement in our community and believes God can move mountains when we come together as a community.

“We ask you to share this with friends and family so we will have a great turnout of support.”

Join OCSO and the community at Eastgate Pentecostal Church, located at 290 I-10 Frontage Road in Vidor, at 7 p.m. on April 12 to show your support and join in the vigil for these three community protectors.
