Mardi Gras SETX
The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) presents its winter Free Family Arts Day on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
Art activities are inspired by Valentine’s Day, President’s Day and Mardi Gras, as well as AMSET’s current exhibition, FRANCESCA FUCHS: Seriously and Slightly Funny Things.
Children can decorate Mardi Gras necklaces, make Valentine’s Day cards and President’s Beards, paint rocks, and creatively customize their own mug. Complimentary cookies and punch will be provided. A concession stand serving ballpark-style food will be available. This event will be held outside in the museum parking lot, weather permitting. Follow the museum on social media for up-to-date information in the case of inclement weather.
