Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas hosted its annual Crime Stoppers of the Year event and fundraiser on Nov. 1 at the Beaumont Event Centre, joining local law enforcement partner agencies to recognize individuals and organizations that have gone above and beyond in keeping their communities and campuses safe.

Honored at the banquet were Legacy High School student Breanna Reynolds (Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office), Sgt. Lawrence Robert (Jefferson Co. Constable Pct. 1), Constable Jevonne Polland (Jefferson Co. Constable Pct. 2), Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (Beaumont Police Department), former NISD assistant superintendent Mike Laird (Nederland Police Department/Department of Public Safety), Sgt. Al Johnson (Port Arthur PD), business owner Heather Burton (Port Neches PD), Deputies Marcus Johnson and Jacob McElroy, Sgt. Chase Alexander and Corp. Ryan Cunningham (Orange Co. Sheriff’s Office), business owner James McCullar (Orange Co. Constable Pct. 4), Anthony Allen (DPS Orange Office), Mayor Larry Spears Jr. (Orange Police Department), Sabine Federal Credit Union (Pinehurst PD), Sgt. Ethan Mansfield (Vidor PD),  Chamber Director Rebecca Gardiner (Sour Lake PD) and State Rep. Dade Phelan (Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas).

The Honorable Service Award was presented to Paul Lemoine, retired police chief of the Port Neches PD and the Distinguished Lifetime Service Award to Police Chief Jimmy Singletary of the Beaumont PD.

The Crime Stopper Campus of the Year was Vincent Middle School and the District of the Year was Vidor ISD.

Those attending enjoyed dinner, a silent auction, cork pull and gun drawing.
