Cruise to Crystal Beach for a family-friendly weekend of music, arts and crabs – Gulf Coast Style – at the 38th annual Texas Crab Festival on Mother’s Day weekend, May 12-14, at Festival Park (1605 Highway 87).

You’ll find numerous food concessions offering a variety of fresh seafood and festival favorites. Sink your teeth into crabby creations from crab nachos to crab stuffed jalapenos to barbecued crab.

Browse through dozens of vendors featuring coastal art & crafts, apparel, jewelry, furniture and gifts. Visit with the many local organizations and businesses representing our vibrant coastal community. Splash into the fun of the 5K/1K crab run, crab kids’ activity area, crab gumbo cookoff, crab legs contest, weiner dog races, washers and cornhole tournaments, 2-step dance contest, scavenger hunt, live crab races, custom golf cart raffle, silent auction and more.

One-day tickets will be available at the gate, Friday $10 and Saturday $15.

The music kicks off on Friday at 7:15 p.m. with the Big Jordan Band, followed by headliner Wayne Toups at 9:45 p.m.

The music plays on all day Saturday, starting with the Galveston Ukulele Society at 1 p.m., Little Comic at 2 p.m., Salty Sounds at 3:15 p.m., PopGun at 5:30 p.m., Texas Flood (tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan) at 7:45 p.m. and headliner Roger Creager at 10 p.m.

On Sunday, Lamar State College Port Arthur’s Coastline will take the stage at 12:30 p.m., along with La Mentira Norteña at 2 p.m. and Bayou Sounds at 4:15 p.m.
