A champion of the Texas honky tonk tradition, Jason Eady will perform at Courville’s on Thursday, July 21, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50, which include a complimentary buffet dinner, and can be purchased online at courvillescatering.com.

A near-lifelong songwriter who names Merle Haggard, Guy Clark, and Willie Nelson among his main inspirations, Eady is touring in support of his latest album, “To the Passage of Time.”

Eady grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, and got his start performing in local bars at age 14, showing his natural grasp of everything from soul and R&B to blues and country. After some time in the Air Force, he moved to Fort Worth and started playing open mic nights, where he quickly built up a devoted following, then released his debut record, “From Underneath the Old” in 2005.

Popular songs are “AM Country Heaven,” “Go Down Moses,” “Cry Pretty,” “Welcome Table,” “The Other Side of Abilene” and “Back to Normal.”

Courville’s is located at 1744 Rose Ln. in Beaumont. For more information, call (409) 860-9811.
