Looking for a good cause to support or an exquisite evening on the town? Look no further. The Girls’ Haven STARS Dinner at the Event Centre on Oct. 24 offers both a night of elegance and the opportunity to donate to an organization that is benefiting some of Southeast Texas’ most vulnerable and promising youth.

Girls' Haven is holding its annual Benefit Golf Tournament Monday, May 12 at Beaumont Country Club.

The course will open up at 11 a.m. for practice and there will be a lunch held at the Country Club Grill at 11:30. There is a shotgun start for all of the teams at 1 p.m. Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the course. Play is expected to be completed by 5 p.m., with an awards ceremony to follow.

Last year, the Annual Benefit Golf Tournament raised $110,000 for Girls' Haven.

The young ladies of Girls’ Haven are celebrating after receiving a welcome gift from Harbor Healthcare Systems in the form of a brand new study room.

The official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new study room was on March 22 at 1 p.m. at the facility located on Fannin St. in Beaumont. The recently renovated room features fresh paint, new computers and printers, lovely decorations and comfortable furniture. This room was designed to offer the residents a safe and practical environment for their studies and homework.
