LMS cheerleaders clinch national title

The Lumberton Middle School cheerleaders took first place at the 2024 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) High School National Championships on Jan. 19-21 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.

The LMS squad competed in the Game Day Division-Medium for junior high/ middle schools. Teams combined their Band Chant, Game Day Cheer, and Fight Song along with a Game Day situational response to showcase in one 3-minute performance against 14 other schools, including Bridge City Junior High and Silsbee Middle School.
