Tuesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m., BPD officers patrolling the area of the Avenue A and Brockman attempted to stop a white 2014 Lincoln MKZ for a traffic violation. The driver, later identified as Harold Henry, a 28-year-old Beaumont man, did not stop and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The driver and the front right passenger, Quinndarius Henry, a 20-year-old Beaumont man, were eventually stopped in the 200 block of E. Church.

A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed one handgun, one Keltec Sub 9mm pistol, ecstasy, marijuana and approximately $4,500 in cash. Both men were arrested and transported to Jefferson County Jail. The driver was charged with evading in a motor vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance. The passenger was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
