Provost Umphrey Law Firm, LLP is sponsoring a night of free admission for YMBL’s South Texas State Fair on Monday, May 24, with gates opening at 5 p.m. The 10-day fair officially opens Thursday, May 20 through Sunday, May 30 at Ford Park (5115 Interstate 10 South) in Beaumont.

“We are very excited that the fair is back on, and we are able to fulfill our commitment to the YMBL to sponsor a night where the entire community gets in free,” says Joe Fisher, Provost Umphrey managing partner.

Enjoy more than 150 vendors and snack on favorite fair foods such as funnel cakes, turkey legs, alligator on a stick, pork kabobs, donut burgers, candy apples, popcorn and a plethora of fried snacks — fried Oreo’s, Twinkies, Ding Dongs, cheesecake and cookie dough.

Catch all the thrills and spills of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) as it showcases the country’s top cowboys and cowgirls on Friday, May 21, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 22, at 5 p.m. inside Ford Arena. General admission seating for the rodeo is free with paid admission to the fair.

Tickets are $10 and can now be purchased in advance online at fordpark.com. There are plenty of promotional and value nights, which can be found online at ymbl.org.

There are plenty of promotional nights, beginning Sunday, May 23 for Fair Share for Hunger Sunday. Fairgoers are admitted free by bringing six non-perishable HEB product can foods, which will be donated to the Southeast Texas Food Bank; Monday, May 24 is Provost Umphrey Free Fun Night (free admission, $2 carnival rides); Education First Family Fun Night is Tuesday, May 25 (free admission with a coupon from educationfirstfcu.org, $20 unlimited ride wristband); $2 Ride Night is schedule for Wednesday, May 26; Military Appreciation Night is Thursday, May 27 as all members of the military/first responders along with dependents play no fair admission; “Fun” Friday, May 28, the fair will open at 5 p.m. ($35 unlimited ride wristband); Kids’ Day is Saturday, May 29 as kids 17 and under are in free from noon to 3 p.m.; And finally, Closing Day is Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Cantasctic on Sunday, May 30. Those who bring in an empty or full six-pack Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper product will receive free admission.
