PAPD investigates fatal shooting

The Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) is investigating a fatal shooting they say occurred just before 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27 on Liberty Avenue.

PAPD officers responded to the front yard of a home in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival to the scene, officers found a man lying in the front yard of a home on Thomas Boulevard near Liberty Avenue. Officers say that man died. A private vehicle carried a second victim to a hospital with injuries that reportedly weren't life threatening.
