Missing man's body recovered from waterway

Port Arthur police discovered the body of missing man Elton Dewayne Harris, 43, inside of his submerged vehicle. Harris was reportedly last seen July 24.

Members of the Port Arthur Fire Department Dive Team located Harris’ vehicle Tuesday, Aug. 9, submerged in a body of water in the 2900 block of SH73 EB. The Dive Team located Harris’ body inside the vehicle.

Port Neches Police Chief Paul Lemoine told media that police also found another vehicle and the remains of a man believed to be reported missing from Port Neches in 2008.
