A Port Neches man was indicted for indecency with a child, a second-degree felony, by a Jefferson County grand jury on Jan. 18.
Adrian Lee Lakey, 44, remains in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility under a $250,000 bond.
The probable cause affidavit for Lakey’s arrest states that, on Dec. 16, 2022, Port Neches Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Wilson Street after a woman reported she heard her 2-year-old granddaughter cry and scream, and found her boyfriend, naked from the waist down, lying on top of her granddaughter with her shorts and diaper removed. The grandmother grabbed the child, clothed her and left the house before calling police.
Officers found Lakey lying on the couch and arrested him.
