Beaumont Police Department (BPD) officers nabbed three men after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the business.
According to BPD, officers responded to the area of 1655 Louisiana (Dragon Industries) at 1:11 a.m. Nov. 26. At the scene, they saw three white males run from the area and officers caught two of the men, then set up a perimeter for K-9. The K-9 officer and his dog located the third man.
Tools commonly used in catalytic converter thefts were discovered. All three men – Michael Lake Lewis, 29, and Timothy Bryan Claypool, 32, both of Vidor, and Bo Bryan Holder, 33, of Beaumont – were each arrested for evading arrest/detention and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
Lewis was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $7,650, while Claypool and Holder’s bond was $2,500 each.
