Jefferson County correctional officer, LaQuintin Wilson, dies of covid complications

Deputy LaQuintin Wilson, a correctional officer for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, passed away Feb. 1 due to complications after contracting Covid-19, according to the JSCO Facebook social media page.

"He was a gentle giant who showed tremendous respect for coworkers and inmates alike. He will truly be missed. His dedication and service will always be remembered."

A valued member of the JCSO for more than 15 years, funeral services are pending.
