Going for gold

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas hosted their annual Go for the Gold reverse drawing fundraiser March 10. Chaired by Rocky Chase, this year’s theme was El Dorado – the mythical city of gold believed to have been in Columbia.

This year’s winners were Bobbie Wied, a young 90-year-old resident of Beaumont, who won $10,000 in gold; Mike Lindsey ($1,500 in gold); and Kate Davis ($1,000).

Attendees dressed in gold, and the ancient fashion of Columbia, enjoyed dinner by Two Magnolias while raising money for AMSET.
