Legacy Community Health is calling on sponsors and supporters to join in the planning of a Back to School Festival offering resources and vendor booths, with local businesses and United Way partner agencies offering activities and information on services beneficial to families with school age children. Among the services to be offered: backpacks filled with essential school supplies to the first 300 kids, free haircuts and the like.
The festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Pietzsch MacArthur School, 4301 Highland Ave. in Beaumont. Current sponsors include Gulf Credit Union and Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages.
