The city of Nederland announced updated regulations for food trucks. According to city officials, effective March 1, there are two types of permits – special events and annual – for food trucks to operate within the city limits.

Under special events, food truck owners are allowed one permit per month (one day) and 12 maximum a year. Operators must tie-in with a local business’ special event and the permit fee is $50 per event.

For annual food truck permits, eight permits will be issued and are available for all food truck operators who own a brick-and-mortar business or residence with homestead exemption in the city. The permit fee is $500.
