At about 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, Beaumont Police Department (BPD) officers responded to Westend Lodge on Major Drive in reference to subjects allegedly stealing catalytic converters.

A caller observed several subjects under and around vehicles in the parking lot and could hear sawing noises, according to a news release. Officers arrived in the area and were able to stop a 2018 white Ford Fusion, along with four suspects, as it pulled out of one of the gates. Officers located three cordless saws and six catalytic converters in the vehicle. Investigators with the Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF) were notified and responded.

The suspects were identified as Houston residents 27-year-old Cammie Bush, 21-year-old Camrell Stewart, 18-year-old Antonie Benson and 18-year-old Desean Roberts. They were all transported to Jefferson County Correctional Facility and booked in for engaging in organized criminal activity.
