BPD releases name of teen killed in motorcycle crash

The Beaumont Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a 15-year old Saturday.

According to a report by BPD, officers responded to a crash Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. involving a 2019 Honda CB300R and a 2012 Cadillac. 

The motorcycle was allegedly traveling southbound in the 3000 block of Magnolia. The driver of the Cadillac was attempting to make a left turn from the 1000 block of Delaware and failed to see the motorcycle. 

The driver of the motorcycle reportedly crashed into the front left driver's side of the Cadillac. 

Beaumont EMS pronounced the driver of the motorcycle deceased on scene. 

Beaumont Police later identified the driver as Saul Mondragon Martinez, a 15-year-old male, according to the report.
