Bostwick named NRF Citizen of the Year

Friends, family, co-workers, business associates and the community gathered April 8 at the downtown Event Centre to celebrate Greg Bostwick, the Neches River Festival Citizen of the Year due to his tremendous service to the community.

With a passion for weather, Bostwick attended Texas A&M University then joined the KFDM Channel 6 family in 1979. Over the past 20 years, Southeast Texas has suffered catastrophic weather events, from tropical storms and hurricanes to the ice storm of 2021. Bostwick has kept viewers informed in his calm, precise manner. His love for weather and has made his reputation with solid, no-hype weather forecasting.

Bostwick also has a greenhouse and nursery business near his home in Winnie, “Bostwick Farms,” where he grows and sells plants to area landscapers and nurseries.

He and his wife Cindy have three sons – Greg Alan, Blake and Lucas.
