The Beaumont Heritage Society will adhere to the CDC recommendations for mass gatherings in place for the next 8 weeks, asking for organizers to cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.

Culled from a social media post by the organization:

"Based on these recommendations, we unfortunately find it necessary to cancel the Chambers House Museum Lawn Party scheduled to take place on March 26, 2020, the John Jay French Museum Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 11, 2020, and the Adult After- Easter Egg Hunt Heritage Happy Hour on April 16, 2020.  With luck, we will be able to reschedule the Lawn Party and the Heritage Happy Hour so stay-tuned!  We will also be suspending our guided museum tours for this period of time, and will reevaluate as additional information becomes available.

"Please understand that this decision has been a difficult one, but as the safety of our members and guests is of paramount importance, we feel this decision is the right one. As a history-based organization, we recognize that this pandemic will be remembered as part of our story.  We hope that you - our community - remain healthy and safe, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!"
