The 31st Breakfast with the Bishop took play last Saturday morning at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church Family Life Center. Reverend Monsignor Salvator Culotta was the honoree as his nephew, Raymond Begnaud, severed as emcee. Both Bishop David Toups and Bishop Emeritus Curtis Guillory visited, served and encouraged the group. Rabbi Chava Koster, Rev. Jim Fuller and Rev. James Pevehouse were a few of the ministers of the Interfaith Community that joined the guests. Music was provided by Jimmy Kaiser and Cecelia Chaisson, a local opera singer, performed two special selections. Sam Parigi and Rich Courville did an outstanding job as the auctioneers. Enjoying the breakfast were Katharine Carmichael, James Carter, Joan and Burnell Cook, Chelle Courville, Barbara and Ray Courville, Kelly and Hamil Cupero, Stephanie Daleo, Gerri Giglio, Linda and Joe Domino, Lori and Jimmy Duplissey, Meagan Duplissey, Michael Duplissey, Mathew Duplissey, Rebecca Downs, Donald Fertitta, Bill Gyer, Jay Marie Granger, Joan and Michael Kirkpatrick, Mark Kubala, Toni and Gene Landry, Susan and Ron Legnion, CJ Liberto, Paula Lovoi, Suzanne and Don Maloney, Patrick Maloney, Paula O’Neal, Lisa Parigi, Fr. With a successful auction and over 400 tickets sold, this annual fundraiser for Catholic charities was a grand slam!

Enchanted evening… Christus Southeast Texas Foundation once again packed the Beaumont Civic Center for their annual gala, which was chaired by Sally and Randy Lombardo. After an hour of cocktails and conversation, the revelers were ready to be entertained by famed Country music star Wynona Judd.
