The City of Beaumont’s annual Jazz at the Lake returns to the Downtown Event Centre beginning each month from June to August with summer nights of live entertainment, cool jazz and community fun. In addition to live jazz music from regional musicians, there will be beer, wine, and concessions for sale. These concerts are free and open to the public and welcomes downtown professionals and families alike to enjoy the sights and sounds at the Event Centre and Lake, which have become the anchor of additivity in downtown and the perfect backdrop for live music. The lineup includes Dean James on June 1, The Andre Harness Quartet on July 20, and Ron Roccio on Aug. 10. See you there!

So excited about… the Alzheimer’s Association annual Family Portrait Luncheon is this Thursday, May 11, at the MCM Eleganté. More than $100,000 has already been raised. Mary Moreland, author of “The Gap Between – Loving and Supporting someone with Alzheimer’s,” and niece of co-chair Catherine Holtzclaw, will be the guest speaker. More than 300 guests will be attending this worthy benefit.

Opening exhibit… Beaumont Art League’s Best of Show winner 2022, Melody Montero-Ortiz, will have an opening reception in her honor Saturday, May 13, at 7 p.m. There will be artwork available for purchase and exhibiting in the Brown Gallery through June 29.

News of I do’s… love and marriage, the fabulous wedding of Anne Kathryn Trevino and Robert DiTullio III had everything you can imagine, except a “horse and carriage.” Nuptials were exchanged at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Houston and the reception was held at the amazing Lakeside Country Club. Parents of the happy couple, Kelli and Paul Trevino, and Sandy and Robert DiTullio Jr., are over the moon with this marriage merger. The bride’s sister Mary Caroline Trevino-Bishop, was the maid of honor, and brother of the groom, Brandon DiTullio, was the best man with Mattie Yoes serving as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Susannah Abernathy, Claire Blecher, Annabel Coleman, Giuliana Daleo, Mia DiTullio, Mary Garofalo, Bailey Heartfield, Elizabeth Ranger, Katherine Reckling and Callie Roane. Groomsmen were Cody Bishop, Austin Conrad, Jonathan Davis, Fisher Diharce, William Foster IV, Pierce Hughes, Eion Johnson, Michael Masserella, Tullis Thomas, Jeffrey Trevino, Brady Vick and Zachary Weinstein. Flower girl was Elizabeth James (EJ) Trevino with ushers Kevin Doherty, Nick Candelari, Huston Hayes and Harrison Hayes. Grandparents Jadeanne and Jeff Hayes, Robert DiTullio, Ellen Sedita, and Evelyn and Charles Sedita rounded out the wonderful wedding party.
