BREAKING: Dangerous fugitive wanted

The Vidor Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating a dangerous wanted fugitive, Timothy Bryan Claypool age 31. Claypool is wanted out of Hardin County for a Failure to Appear warrant in a controlled substance investigation and a Bond revocation out of Jefferson County for Theft.

On Friday, June 10, 2022, Officers from the Vidor Police Department recovered a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the 2300 block of N. Main that was borrowed by Claypool from a family member and not returned. Inside the vehicle, officers found an AK-47 rifle, Short barrel Savage Shotgun, a 9mm HW Arms Pistol and a Point Blank Ballistic Vest. Officers believe these weapon s and ballistic vest are stolen. Mr. Claypool is a convicted felon and registered sex offender. He should not be in possession of a firearm or ballistic vest. Timothy Claypool has an extensive criminal record including robbery, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
