Big Thicket Superintendent Wayne Prokopetz announced that the preserve will begin issuing this season’s free feral hog trapping permits on Monday Feb. 7, at the nature preserve’s visitor center, 6102 FM 420 in Kountze.

The Provost Umphrey law firm is moving its office to the Edison Plaza this spring, with crews now working on installing the firm’s name atop the downtown Beaumont building. Once complete, the signage would be visible to motorists facing both downtown and Interstate 10.
