The Orange County Jail is reopening for visitors reports Sheriff Keith Merritt.
Beginning May 26, prisoners will again be allowed visitation as the facility relaxes restrictions related to COVID-19. Due to limited space available and in order to maintain 6 feet of social distancing, only one person per inmate will be able to visit at one time. Visits will be limited to 20 minutes for each inmate, which the sheriff estimates should allow for each visitor that shows up ample time for a visit.
Hours of operation will remain the same: Mon-Fri from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. and 12 p.m.-4 p.m.; and Saturday from 8 a.m.-11 :30 a.m.
