BISD closes as Delta looms

Hurricane Delta is predicted to impact the Beaumont area with high winds and potential flooding beginning Friday, Oct. 9. Out of an abundance of caution for our students, parents and staff Beaumont ISD will switch to virtual learning for all students on Oct. 9, according to a news release. Students will return to on campus learning on Monday, Oct. 12.

From the release:

"All district events, including meal distributions, will also be suspended on Oct. 9. The district will continue to monitor the situation and updates will be communicated through the district website, social media and email/call notifications. We encourage our community to heed the warnings and follow the directives issued by our local authorities.
