The city of Beaumont confirmed an additional 39 COVID-19 cases Nov. 19, according to a news release from the city’s Department of Public Health.

More than 500 Beaumont residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since the beginning of November, and local medical professionals have urged vigilance over the upcoming holiday period.

A contingent of area doctors and nurses stood outside the Jefferson County Courthouse Nov. 18 with a message to citizens to be cautious of holiday gatherings.
