Dalton Paul Hinch, 22, was arrested Feb. 4 for the murder of an elderly man in Jasper on Jan. 29.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported Feb. 4 that they have arrested a man in Vidor for the murder of 80-year-old Guadalupe Naranjo who was found killed in his home on Jan. 29.
According to information from Orange County Public Information Officer Det. Joshua Lockett indicated that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, in conjunction with the Orange County Narcotics Unit, Orange County Constable Pct. 4’s Office, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, the Vidor Police Department and the Texas Rangers, executed a high-risk arrest warrant on Dalton Paul Hinch, 22, on the same day the officer announced his arrest. Hinch was taken into custody in the 800 block of West Davis Loop in the city of Vidor without incident and transported to the Jasper County Jail where he remained at the time of this report. He is charged with murder.
Following the crime, investigators were searching for clues to identify the suspect who murdered Naranjo, who they believe was killed sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
