Early Thursday morning, March 12, at around 3:57, BPD officers responded to an apartment in the 6500 block of Phelan in Beaumont in reference to an aggravated robbery that just occurred. Dispatch advised that the suspect held the victims up at gunpoint and entered the residence.

A 23-year-old Houston man has been sentenced to federal prison for robbing a bank in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney John Malcolm Bales on Feb. 4.  

According to a news release, Christopher M. Carmon Thomas pleaded guilty on July 29, 2014 to bank robbery and was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison Feb. 4 by U.S. District Judge Thad Heartfield. Thomas was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,309.00.

Police in Beaumont are searching for a suspect in the early morning aggravated robbery of a Fast Lane convenience store on Jan. 18, reports the Beaumont Police Department.

On Jan. 7, at approximately 1:41 a.m. the Port Arthur Police Department received a call from the Port Arthur Lounge located at 8136 9th Ave. in reference to a robbery, The employee advised that the business was closed when a subject, who had been concealed in the business, held her by gunpoint and demand money. The subject was able to rob the business of an unknown amount of money and fled. The employee was not injured during the robbery. Investigators are still searching for a suspect who robbed a local fast food restaurant at gunpoint in the early morning hours of Nov. 9, police in Orange report.

According to an incident report from the Orange Police Department, dispatch received a call at about 4 a.m. regarding a suspect dressed in a camouflage jacket and a ski mask who stole money from the 16th Street Jack-in-the-Box in Orange. The gun-wielding thief got away with an unspecified amount of money from the drive-thru register and the safe of the business.

Detectives with the Beaumont Police Department have arrested a 29-year-old Beaumont man for his connection to several robberies that have occurred over the past month, BPD reports.

Beaumont Police responded to a reported robbery at the Family Dollar Store located at 1005 Washington Blvd. Wednesday night, Sept. 17 in Beaumont's South End.

At about 9:40 p.m., police arrived and spoke to the store's clerk, who told officers that a man entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot. Employees last saw the robber running westbound on Euclid Street behind the store.
