The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Krewe of Krewe’s Grand Mardi Gras Parade on Jan. 30 in downtown Orange at 5:30 p.m. For the 13th year, the traditional Mardi Gras Parade will feature illuminated floats, decorated trailers and Krew members tossing beads, cups and trinkets to spectators along with the Mardi Gras Ball royalty.

Police in Orange responding to the burglary of a business arrested a suspect they discovered hiding in the bushes near McCoy's Building Supply on Lutcher Drive. Investigators also discovered evidence of the crime and stolen items from the business nearby where the man was hiding, reports the Orange Police Department.

Fast food cravings resulted in more than several individuals visiting a Jack in the Box in Orange bargainee for on Jan. 6. According to reports from the Orange Police Department, one officer made two separate arrests in a single stop and another officer investigated an attack on three individuals inside a vehicle who got more than they bargained for when stopping for snacks.

Police in Orange arrested one man they say was asleep at the wheel Jan. 2, but he wasn't on the road; according to the investigating officer, he was apparently passed out drunk in the drive-thru of a local McDonalds.
