Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA Inc. on Thursday reported operational problems at a sulfur recovery unit within its refinery in Port Arthur, Texas that led to excess gas emissions. The company, a unit of Total SA (TOT, FP.FR), said the unexpected disruption occurred Tuesday night. It didn't indicate whether fuel output at the 174,000 barrel-a-day refinery was impacted, but said the refinery is now operating normally. "Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc., addressed the issue by implementing procedures to minimize emissions and restarting the unit.

The second annual Beaumont Pride festival is set to take place Saturday, June 13, in downtown Beaumont with a pride walk beginning at 11:30 a.m. and featuring plenty of live music along with food, vendors, performing acts and more.
